Need a Nutrition Kick in the Pants?

Updated: Oct 17, 2019

Ever get into a rut where you eat the same things every day? Or, maybe you crave sugar every day and know by the adding on another hole to your belt loop that you need to quit. I am one for routine, so I can create a habit that looks something like: wake up, have organic coffee with a whole food/protein bar; lunch time is either a smoothie, Greek yogurt, or another protein bar; dinner is a glass of wine paired with cheese, a whole grain, and some veggies. Hmm. This does not read like a scrumptious cookbook! On the contrary. Our eating cycles can get dull. If variety is the spice of life, we need to find some motivating inspiration to expand our nutritional pallet!

Let's shake ourselves into culinary adventure with these resources!

Nutritional Makeover, here we come! :

  • Read a book on wholesome, clean nutrition. Here is a fun one: The 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth, By Johnny Bowden, Ph.D. C.N.S.

Do you feel the desire to expand your healthy pallet?  Look no further than this book!  The author shares research-based food facts on what to eat and why.  From artichokes to vinegar, the reader learns powerful benefits each food holds.  I found myself making a grocery list of new items to try, adding bee pollen and guava reminders to purchase!  The images in this book are appealing, and despite the 150 foods to read through, it has a pleasant flow to understanding the nutrient nuggets of food descriptions.  If you want to re-ignite a wholesome way of eating, dive into this gourmet-buffet of food and their healing components!  Coffee, red wine, and tea made the list, oh yes they did!
