Gifts of Wellness & Self-Care~Part 2
Updated: Nov 12, 2019
Moving on to Part 2 of holistic wellness-focused gifts!
I do not need another pair of cheap socks or processed candy I won't eat. As I type that, it sounds quite rude. I hate to be rude. But I also do not like waste, especially my dear ones spending their money on me with items I do not need. However, I am a mega-fan of ebooks. I realize that's not everyone's cup of joy, but it can make a creative gift! Don't you love the knowledge and imagination a book can hold? With ebooks, I prefer the options to simply purchase a PDF or Kindle version- it's so simple. It's one less physical book, that this book-feen girl has to make room for on her already overcrowded bookshelf. So, I hope this next post on inspiring ebooks will guide you to find something that will add insight, wonder, and a shot of wellness to your loved one's days!
* As of 11/1/19 these Kindles/Ebooks range from .99 cents to $9.99.
Let's take a look at these 6 kindle/ebooks that focus on cooking, professional growth, natural skincare, women's health, establishing healthy habits, & faith:

Half Baked Harvest Super Simple: More Than 125 Recipes for Instant, Overnight, Meal-Prepped, and Easy Comfort Foods: A Cookbook, By Tieghan Gerard https://amzn.to/2JI5BJ9 This book was recommended to me. I have to say, looking through the gorgeous pics in the preview, and eyeing the Lemon Basil Pesto recipe, it's now on MY wish list! The book includes a vegetarian section as well.
The Scientific Revolution in Skincare, By Hannah Sivak https://hannahsivak.com/ Hannah Sivak still does a superb job explaining the science and other details of our skin, from skin issues to the care of our largest organ. It is clear that the author's background is in biology and research, as she unfolds how to effectively (and quite naturally) care for our skin. Hannah created a clean skincare product line, Skin Actives, which is often referred to in the book. I have tried some of Skin Actives' products, and they do not disappoint! The ingredients and formulas are effective and high quality. If you are looking for deeper insight into the study of aging skin, grab this valuable book.
3 Things Successful People Do, By John C. Maxwell https://amzn.to/2N7zW5P I truly enjoyed this book and took my time engaging with Mr. Maxwell's words of wisdom. His messages compelled me to be more focused on growing to my best ability, and understand what true success is. I appreciate Mr. Maxwell's definition of success is: "Knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others." He has the gift of encouragement, and with each chapter, you are inspired to create, discover, establish goals, improve, believe, and serve! If you need power behind your dreams, this book can add guidance to your desires for success and service.
