Superfoods for Beauty

I am sure this will sound weird, but often, when I sit down to eat, I imagine each nutrient dense bite of food I take, traveling through my body, being absorbed by my cells. The trillions of cells that the human body contains, holds only the power they are given- most of that is through FOOD! Yes, I believe there is also much might held in exercise (stimulating mitochondria), as well as the power of thought, and a touch of genetics, but those are blog posts for another time.

I realize smoothies may be a repetitive type recipe we see on social media, but honestly, they are one of the quickest, super-easiest ways to consume antioxidant + nutrients that literally have the ability to help repair our cells! Here is my tasty smoothie of choice:

Simple Smoothie~

I am not gonna get crazy fancy on you! This is literally a two-minute process. All of the ingredients are in the powder for you (saves you a good hour+ at the grocery store)!

My go-to smoothie is made with Sunfood's Superfood Smoothie Mix:

  • 1 scoop of Sunfood's Superfood Mix (comes is berry or chocolate)

  • 8 oz. of your choice of milk (I like vanilla coconut milk)

  • Blend together (optional to add ice or added powders for an extra body-boost, such as collagen or bee pollen)
